Texas town, you pick it, you name it. The kind of town that has one main street and with more trucks on it than traffic lights. And there's a, let's call it a feed store that's been around for generations. Nothing fancy. Wood floors worn smooth, a bell on the door that rings every time someone walks in, and a counter that's heard just about every story that you can imagine. It's the kind of place where folks don't just come by to buy supplies. They come by to catch up, to check in, and to stay connected. Lately, though, things haven't been very easy. Prices are up, supply is down, deliveries don't come when they used to, and folks are starting to wonder if the old place can hang hang on much longer. Well, you can see it in the way that people linger a little longer at the counter, in the quieter conversations, and in the unspoken question hanging in the air. What happens if this place disappears? Now in some parts of the country, that's where the story ends. Business closes, people shrug, and life just moves on. But this is Texas. They didn't stand around waiting for instruction. They grabbed brushes, started repainting, hauling, sweeping, and by evening a handful of neighbors had turned into a full on work crew. Trucks lined the street, laughter mixed in with the sound of hammers, and someone fired up a grill without without even asking permission. No sign up sheet, no committee, no speeches. Just people doing what needed to be done.

What Texas Grit Really Means
